In a context of profound transformation across industrial ecosystems, Innovitech is strengthening its position in security and defense.

We are proud to entrust the development of this sector to Normand Landry, Innovation, Security and Defense Advisor at Innovitech.

With 28 years of service in the Canadian Armed Forces, Norman has held leadership roles in aviation and aerospace, overseeing R&D programs related to aircraft structures for the Royal Canadian Air Force. He led large-scale projects totaling several hundred million dollars, including acquisition and training programs for the CAF and NATO partners.

Following his military career, he continued his engagement as a strategic advisor to the Assistant Deputy Minister (Materials), supporting the transformation of procurement and in-service support practices. He played a key role in major initiatives such as the Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) program, contributing to the alignment of capability requirements, innovative contracting models, and long-term public-private partnerships.

His influence has also extended to airport development and regional economic growth, where he led high-impact strategic projects for over a decade at the intersection of infrastructure and innovation. His ability to structure collaborative ecosystems and generate sustainable outcomes has consistently created value for the organizations he has supported.

At Innovitech for more than five years, he has supported numerous clients in the aerospace and advanced materials sectors and now leverages this expertise to advance mandates in security and defense.

For Innovitech, security and defense does not represent a strategic shift, but rather a natural extension of our activities in aerospace, advanced air mobility, healthcare, digital technologies, and strategic materials value chains, sectors where sovereignty, resilience, and competitiveness are already central priorities.

At the heart of this convergence: dual-use innovation.

Technologies capable of serving both civilian and strategic applications, shaping the major industrial trajectories of advanced economies.

Our security and defense support includes:

  • Strategic planning, advisory services, and sector positioning
Defense market analysis, strategic planning, regulatory monitoring, risk management, and diversification strategies toward military markets.
  • Dual-use innovation and technology development
Structuring dual-use strategies, defense-oriented R&D, feasibility studies, and convergence analysis toward strategic environments.
  • Industrial performance and supply chain resilience
Industrial capability assessments, defense supplier qualification, regulatory compliance, and supply chain security.
  • Market access and mobilization of strategic ecosystems
Support for tender processes, structuring technology consortia, international partnerships, and assistance with defense funding programs.

The security and defense sector is emerging as a structuring lever at the intersection of technological sovereignty, industrial competitiveness, and national resilience.
