A certified corporate director (ASC) with both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in aerospace engineering, Stephan brings strong expertise in economic development, strategic negotiation, and the governance of complex innovation projects. His career combines technical knowledge, economic vision, and influential leadership.
Stephan advised the Aerospace Research Centre at the National Research Council Canada (NRC), helping define its business strategy and negotiate major industry agreements for innovation projects totaling several million dollars.
Before that, Stephan spent nearly ten years at Quebec’s Ministry of Economy, Innovation and Energy (MEIE) as an economic development expert for the province’s strategic industries. He led large-scale industrial projects in space technologies, defense, and remotely piloted aircraft systems, and contributed to the design and implementation of Quebec’s Aerospace Strategies 2016–2026 and Horizon 2026.
